I just got an idea. Now, keep in mind, this is just an idea, just something to bounce off y'all and get your opinions on. What if we actually leave another note pinned to storyteller's chest saying that we killed him for voting for Winston? It might generate a WIFOM that totally absolves Winston because it's Just Too Obvious. Does anyone think this might work, or am I crazy? Sorry Hostile Dialect, it's just colour commentary and no game information should be drawn from it.

Well, that was an odd post of mine, wasn't it? I'm a bit of a weirdo on Ambien. And of course, I totally forgot what I was going to say last night. I thought it was Really Important, but that I should wait until morning or it would be totally incoherent. Whatever, here's a bunch of new stuff:
----------------------------
Catman, you now say it's a pack kill, but I thought that I, as the Alpha, made that decision myself. Am I missing something?
----------------------------
Back to strategy: ISTM that we need to start fishing for the GA and the Masons somehow. I'm thinking there might be some Mason tells in the Day 1 thread that a more experienced player than I can piece together. Which odd couple(s) seemed more trusting of each other than they should be? I'd like to hear some feedback on this before I take on the question myself.
----------------------------
Sorry, winston, I just noticed this now for some reason. Didn't want you to think I just ignored it.
This idea has a certain appeal for me. Killing Bear Nenno will really get their heads spinning. My question is: would this choice have a net positive effect for us?

Ok, Night kills for beginners.
In some games, the group decide on a target and a scum member to carry out the kill. This is not one of those situations.
As a group decide who you would like to kill however, as your leader, Hostile Dialect has the final say. In fact he can order the pack to kill one person, even if the others want someone else killed. Once the victim is nominated, as a pack you will tear apart your victim.

My question is: would this choice have a net positive effect for us? No worries. Yeah, two plusses for killing off bear: it will confuse the hell out of the townies (which tends to make them skittish) and 2) a dead townie without much in the way of clues, so no back-trail for them to sniff up. The downside is that there are targets like Story, Rev and NAF that are really good at the game and might be problematic later, but at least one of us has had some sort of run in with each of them. Someone in the thread posted, it's not about killing townies, but about staying alive. The less they have to go on after an attack, the better.

And more to the point (which I didn't want to post in the main thread ), stay alive and get them to kill each other. And I wish it noted that I forgot that Hostile was the godfather, and immune to investigation... under no circumstances should he be our sacrificial victim in an "out the doc" gambit. I'd still use it if you're cornered, Hostile, but otherwise, you're too valuable to us. I'm really leaning towards tagging one of the stronger players, because they scare me. Killing Bear might raise some eyebrows, but I don't think it'll do any damage in terms of WIFOM speculation. In fact, if we take out somebody that was sniffing around one of us, we'll create oodles of WIFOM. I'd suggest knocking off NAF or Story, because Winston was just so over the top yesterday... that will cause some chaos, cuz some townies will immediately want Winstons' head, and others are going to think that's the stupidest thing they've ever heard. "Scum would never do that" is sort of a mantra, and everybody makes fun of it, but they still think like that. I say lets be bold. Roosh wants to fuck with our heads? Lets fuck with theirs. Get them arguing, and then watch the fur fly.

Forgot to add... the more attention Winston and Hostile get now, the less they'll get later. Coming in second or third in the voting can be a good thing, it takes some of the wind out of the sails of the folks that were pushing you, and like I said, Town has the attention span of a retarded rock.

Claiming doc would be a huge mistake. The real doc would have to be an idiot to counterclaim.
We still have strength in numbers, so I think we should try to reread and look for doc signs, otherwise lynch NAF, as story might be able to get himself into trouble.

He'll be so pissed.
Hey, NAF, when you read this, it's just so you've got more time to play in my game. I'm just doing you a favor, here, buddy. Really. ;D

Thanks for sharing your thoughts, everyone. As Alpha, I definitely encourage everyone to have as much say as possible (although, frankly, it's not going to be a strict democracy).
chucara, so far I agree with you about claiming doc. I feel like we could only catch the real doc if he's monumentally stupid or if we push his buttons really, really well. The next Dawn after that, when our claimant is still alive, the gambit will have been revealed.
I'm curious, though; can you expand on why you think story will get himself into trouble?
By the way, I'm thinking about how the Day went and I'm starting to wonder if NAF wasn't the GA. I just want to throw this idea into the circle and see how it smells. What do y'all think?

I can dig NAF being the GA.
If we off Storyteller, it will bring heat on me. If it looks like I'm heading for the noose, I can claim Seer. At that point, I think HostileDialect should start howling for my blood, Chacura & KidV maybe stay neutral or throw in with HD against me. I'll beg to live an extra night and promise proof in the morning that I'm the True Seer. Maybe I won't come up with anything to say my execution, but it will buy us another night at full strength, you guys will get to distance yourselves from me (a soon-to-be-known wolf), and cause a shitload of confusion amongst the town.
Again, just thinking through a scenario out loud.

I definitely think that HostileDialect coming on strong AGAINST one of us we're facing the noose will help us re. end-game.
Also, I think we need to be careful to spread out our votes, if possible, because they'll be looking at who's voting for who.

Again, just thinking through a scenario out loud. Yeah, don't be afraid to claim cop or doc if it gets down to it, but don't pull the trigger early either. Thats the sort of meaty conversation we don't want town having... if they're arguing over which of two or three townies is scum, there's no useful tells in there. But once there's really a scum in the mix, then once the scum is known, town gets to go back and dig through some hard data. I know when I'm Town, that's exactly what I'm waiting for... eventually, somebody turns up scum, and then I dive into the conversations and vote records of previous days, looking for oddities in the way everybody else interacted with the dead scum. It's the best way to catch them. And that's why, in general, we don't want to plan who is going to get on who's case. It's very easy to overthink ourselves, and it'll show to a canny player. In particular, Chucara and I are known quantities to several of the stronger players, and if we start sticking to a script, it'll look fake. Our best bet is to forget that we're scum together, during the Day, and react just as if we were Town and didn't know nuthin from nobody. We leave the fewest trails, that way. It also means that if one of us slips, and another of us is first to catch it, we shouldn't hesitate to run with it. If it's a nasty slip, SOMEBODY is going to point it out, and if somebody is going to get townie cred, it may as well be one of us. Like if Winston were to all of a sudden back WAY off Story and NAF, I'd feel almost compelled to call him on it. That kinda thing. Best, of course, if we can stay out of the conversation completely, though. FTR, I don't think a Storyteller kill will bring too much heat on you, Winston... like I said, it's SO wifomy that Town will dither themselves to death over what it means. I am starting to think NAF may be the better choice, though... I kinda felt like he shoulda known better than to whip out that plan of his, and now that you all mention it, he could easily be the doc, not looking for a seer to claim, but looking to narrow his pool of protectees. Yeah. I'm going to be pretty much offline tonight and all tomorrow, so unless I manage to spring free for a minute and come back, please consider me firmly in the "roast NAF on a spit" camp. Good hell, I'm typing a lot. I'm a shut up now.

Alright, cool. It dawned on me as I was about to write up my last post that NAF seemed to be really desperate to know who the cop was, and seemed to talk for the doc a lot.
Since most of us agree that it's likely, and I think we all agree it's the safest option right now (although I'm with Kid V that a Story kill wouldn't bring that much heat), I'm going to go ahead and make it official for now:
Lunch NAF1138
Since there's still time in the Night, I can still be convinced by any really good arguments to the contrary, so if anyone thinks we should go another direction, speak now or forever hold your peace.

Good choice. I reread the thread and I'd agree NAF seems the better kill
