Sorry for not being very present in thread. My husband just got back from theoretically his last away job ever, w00t.
Ok, I think I'm going to bite the bullet and post something possibly controversial in the thread. I personally did not twig to the fact that there were actual gadgets in the game from the color. A number of townies are talking as if gadgets were pre-determined. Colby11 and Drain immediately come to mind. I think this is what Ed is having a coronary about.
I'm thinking of posting something along the lines of
I totally agree with Ed again, gah. I'm not the sharpest knife in the box but the idea of real "gadgets" in game never occurred to me based on the opening color. Given what several posters have posted I think some folks have given up way too much info to scum. I've gone back and forth about posting this but if I can figure it out so can scum.
Does this give too much away about scum gadgets? It seemed to me rather convenient that the postulated town gadgets mirrored scum gadgets so closely. Hmmmm.
I'm not trying to discourage discussion, I think the sach/storey discussion interesting, power role discussion, not so much.
What do you all think?

Hmm it picked up a vote from Guiri. I think by claiming to see the gadgets discussion as a slip (although you haven't said that's what it was yet) you've confirmed that you know of the existence of gadgets. Which makes you either scum or a town power.

But a vanilla wouldn't know gadgets exist. So they'd see speculation as just speculation, not a slip no?

Although actually, on reread , both Guiri and Colby mentioned gadgets, not just Guiri like I thought. So noticing it isn't as suspicous as I had thought first, probably just paranoia on my part.

But a vanilla wouldn't know gadgets exist. So they'd see speculation as just speculation, not a slip no? That's the point, so someone talking about gadget's as if they definitely exist is possibly outing themselves as a power role. .Anyway if this goes south feel free to toss me under.

By process of elimination I'm going to vote for one of the following: Sister Coyote scathach mahaloth colby11 Guiri JustBeingGinger GnarlyCharlie My reasoning is that most everyone else has posted in a way that I consider to be at least plausibly town (or not at all). While I'm not keen on the idea of giving non-posters a free pass; practically, I don't know what else to do Man I fail so hard at this game Ironically, I feel like his accusations are unfair and am tempted to OMGUS vote even though he's completely right about me.

I suggest you do not OMGUS vote Sacher. He has not given any real reason why the people who are on his list are on it. He may just be trying to get either a rise out of one or more of you or trying to see if anyone jumps on his wagon.

Are late day bussing votes very suspicious? Looks like Maha is sort of done for And 3 of us charging in with a bandwagon to save him would prob only make it worse no?

Damn damn damn damn damn. I just couldn't think of a way to justify not voting for Mahaloth, particularly since I'm on record as noticing that the late-Day disappearing Act when under suspicion is something that Scum do. This isn't good, but we can spin it. I've tried to establish a bunch of blind alleys so Mahaloth's death will throw suspicion on all the wrong people. scathatch and sinjin, I genuinely don't know what your best bet is here. I suppose we could completely foul up anyone looking for random or distributed behavior and just all vote for Mahaloth. Later in the game, people will assume that at least one of us must have been on another wagon. Dunno.
I do think we should disconnect Special Ed toNight, unless he dies when Mahaloth does. Special Ed is going to get himself lynched or killed in short order with his new "playstyle," and we don't want to be attached to him when he does.
I'd very much like to kill guiri ASAP, please. He's really good.
Also, whatever you do, just don't get into an argument with sachertorte. Don't vote for him, don't disagree with him too strenuously unless you are SURE that you're right and can back it up. He's scary smart, and he can see holes in an argument a mile away, but he can sometimes turn a blind eye if you're not engaging him directly.

I am good with a guiri nk as well. I'm going to wait around for a while to see if mahaloth comes in to say anything in his defense, then place a last minute vote on either mahaloth or silver jan. good catch on maha signing on the am story and nice spreading of the manure.
