Damnit, NAF.
Ok, thinking out loud, here.
I'm tempted to pop a seer claim right now. It means I won't live long, but it should be a little more believable than whoever counterclaims me. Which means the doc SHOULD protect me tonight, leaving us free to kill the real seer. I think thats a good trade.
NAF is right... if the real seer claims, it's a no brainer for the doc, and then we've got to hope we kill the doc before the seer does too much damage.

I'm thinking we whack storyteller first. He's way too good at this. NAF knows his stuff too, but he's far less confident and nowhere near as good with the numbers. Nobody else has shown any real inspiration for Town, IMO, although that may change by Nightfall.
Yes, this is my first time playing any form of Mafia.
I felt like Chucara was really forward in the Day 1 thread. First vote? Is there something I'm missing here?
As for the Seer, can we gain any kind of strategic advantage by just having one of us claim it first?

Oops, that sounded skeptical, sorry.
When I read NAF's post, I was thinking, "We should really claim Seer first." Me saying "can we gain any kind of strategic advantage...?" was my way of broaching the idea gently.
My only objection to *you* claiming Seer is that you have a lot of advice for the rest of us. Should we have someone else claim instead? Better do it quickly...

I'm willing to take one for the team and claim seer. If anyone in the game remembers my previous games, we might be able to pull off a coup. If you search for "Winston's Gambit" on the SDMB you'll get the back-story.

I'll see what I can stir up against NAF & Story.

Thanks for that. I post mostly from my phone, which has no capacity to copy and paste. Or if it does, I've never figured out how to do it.

Please let me know if I'm coming on too strong in the game and I'll back off a little.

One of the ways Town will try to figure out which seer is fake will be to demand Role PMs from each, and then they'll evaluate those against their own PMs, trying to see which is forgery.

Please let me know if I'm coming on too strong in the game and I'll back off a little. You've just bumped your profile a little, thats for sure. I wouldn't take that too far, but don't back down either.

As for the Seer, can we gain any kind of strategic advantage by just having one of us claim it first? I was forward? Where? Did I get a vote? I must be missing something. Winston: I agree with KidV. Don't be too agressive with story and NAF. They'll know they are both desirable targets for us. Don't back down either, as that'll seem scummy too. As for the seer claim, I'm pretty sure the real seer won't counter today. So if we're doing this, it will be later in the game. Which means we'll lose a comrade if we get the proper seer. Still a fair trade though. We at least need to think this through before doing it.

You didn't get a vote, chucara, you cast a vote. I was just a little blown away by you casting the first vote.
But you've done this before and I haven't, and anyway, they haven't paid much attention to you, so you seem to know what you're doing.
